Brought Home New Family Members Tonight

Well my Mom came over to our house today to visit with my wife, daughter and myself. She brought along her Smith 642 that my Dad picked up at a gun show that we went to last weekend for her. I had some extra Speer Gold Dot that I gave her and we were talking as I was playing with her new gun. I really like the 642, and have wanted one for quite sometime, but I already own a Ruger LCR. As I was playing with her Smith, I was liking it more and more ... She was asking about carrying extra ammo, so we jumped in the car and headed to the local gun store to pick up some speed strips for her ...

They had a 642 with Crimson Trace grips that was staring at me like a lost puppy in the case ... So I bought it!!! To make matters worse, they also had a Smith & Wesson M&P15 Sport ar-15 .... Noooo body in South Western Pa has this gun ... NO ONE!!! .... So I bought it also!!!

Anyways just wanted to share my excitement!!

Yeah that's the excuse I would use too Seriously though, congrats on the new additions. The m&p sport is a great gun and fun to shoot. You'll love it!

Any excuse to go to the gun store is a good excuse.

    Congrats on the new rifle.

Thanks guys!! ... I'm pretty excited. Everyone that had a 642 seems to love them ... And as for as the AR goes, I've never been interested in one until recently ... But I'm sure I will have a blast with it. I just wanted one for a fun range toy, and to have at home for a defense rifle if ever need be ... The Sport seems like it will fit my needs perfect.

I was shocked that only 1 shop in South Western, Pa has the M&P 15 Sport ... No one else could even give me a time frame on when they will get anymore.

I'd be happy to email one of you guys a picture if you'd post it for me!!

Some people really have a problem staying on task and focus. From speed loaders to a couple guns wow. I like how you roll.

    Congrats on your new shooters!
Everyday is good, but some days are even better.

I guess we all know where you'll be this Saturday.
One word of caution...the barrel on that sport is not chrome lined, just be sure to keep it clean and lightly oiled so it doesn't pit.
