    New Favorite Handgun

    2012-04-08_09-13-36_203.jpg

I just bought a Glock 29sf and took it out shooting yesterday. The gun feels great in my hands, points naturally and is very smooth shooting. I shot 100 rounds of American Eagle and a few Hornady self defense rounds with no issues. After I shoot a couple hundred more rounds through it I'll swap it with my Glock 27 GEN 4 for concealed carry.

I was rather surprised to find that its recoil didn't seem much stronger than my G27. I will have to take the G27 and G29 out and do a side by side comparison.

Congrats! I'm thinking of getting a Glock 19 in the near future; it will be my first Glock

That would be because 10mm is not loaded as hot as it used to be. Get some Buffalo Bore or one of the other boutique brands that push the limit and you'll have a handful.

I'll have to do that. Is Doubletap a hot load?

My G29 absolutely loves the 10mm rounds from underwoodammo.com

I've shot Doubletap ammo and IMO it seems overpriced for what it does.

Most new Glock owners don't realize this but it only takes one Glock for them to multiply. They reproduce by masterbation.

I think the G29SF is one of the most versatile glocks made

While the 29 should make you a great edc, a side-by-side with your 27 is apples and oranges.
