Just picked it up today. The only thing I have done so far is added the Trijicon night sights. I will add a range report after I get it out to the range.photo(1).JPGphoto.JPGphoto(2).JPG

Oh, man. I have been lusting over that exact pistol. Don't really want to spend a fortune on an Officers Model 1911, and I've come to the conclusion that the STI 3.0 45acp might just be the one I'm looking for.....more pics and range report ASAP, please.
Kimbers are the guns you show your friends....Glocks are the ones you show your enemies.
Yeah, more info please.... and pics of it in your palm
What did it cost you? My son just got himself a SA Range Officer for Christmas, that's a nice gun also.

`The gun itself was only $639 plus tax. after I added the night sights it was $727 plus tax. Size wise its a single stack. length and height its pretty close to my XD.

Congratulations on your new pistol!

Congrats. 'Looking forward to the range report.

Sights were ordered and installed by my LGS. on the side it has H3 12 if that tells you anything. I know the bevel cut was not a common one and that seemed to be the issue when I had them ordered. The only other thing I want to do to it right now is have it Cerakoted in matte black as I am not a fan of the parkerized finish.
replacement sight dimensions: : What is the dimension of the dovetail cut for your front sight?
A: All our front sights are .300″ X .060″ X 60 degrees.
Q: What is your front sight blade width?
A: The competition width is .110″ while the carry width is .120″.

Just a couple new pics with the g10 slim-line grips added. Unfortunately I have to wait until the 30th to get to the range to run any rounds through it. And the Cerakote is waiting on my LGS to get their new oven built.

That is one beautiful gun, and hearing the actual price of it really, really puts thoughts into my head. I would have expected that all the STIs start off way higher that the $600 dollar range.....so many thoughts, lol.
Do you happen to know the height of the front site? I really need this in order to order a set of night sights. Thanks!
