Sold my CM9 this A.M. and went straight to my LGS and picked up a new Taurus Slim 709 and had money left over from the CM9. The Kahr was not easy to take down and I got tired of having a sore thumb! The 709 takes down like a Glock--easy! So I believe I will be much happier with the Taurus-- time will tell.
P.S. The LGS had one S&W Shield and I was sorely tempted, but the Taurus was about $170 less and the Shield was not much smaller than my Glock; hence, the 709.
Also: MSRP is $483; Out The Door, $330. Can't beat that!
Chicken Little? Who the heck is Chicken Little? And what does she know, anyway?!

Good call you made the S&W 3953 would have also been a good one.

You did well IMO. I am still atoning for getting rid of my single-stack Sig P225. The Shield will be my next toy.
