After foolishly trading away a blued GP100 4", I'm happily back in the GP100 and .357 club.
The fixed sight 3" models are hard to find, so I pounced on one when I saw it at a local shop. I was also looking out for a S&W Model 65 3" RB, but that ain't happening around my parts, and the ones on gunbroker were sad, thrashed-out things for big money.
I am not a fan of the Hogue grips, so I swapped them for some NOS Uncle Mike's while I was waiting on some old-style compact grips to arrive. Had to buy the rubber grips and hardware from Midway, and the inserts (cocobolo in this case) from a seller on eBay. I'm really pleased on how it looks.
The gun is a dream to shoot, and will be a HD weapon with some limited CCW use in winter when I can wear better cover garments.

I think mine are actually Bocote. The lighting and the flash make them look more orange/red....but they are really more yellow/orange.

Makes me miss my 3" M64 RB. Loved that gun!...ANYWAY, nice looking set-up. If I had saw that, I would have made the same move. Have my 2.25" SP101 to show my Ruger "love". Good luck with it !
