    Kahr CM40

Picked this up last night from my local gun store. In the words of the store manager, " This is gonna hurt".

Hope to shoot it this weekend.

Manager must have very soft hands; recoil is slightly snappier than 9MM but does not hurt. Enjoy, you bought a fine weapon.

Congrats on your purchase! I will agree with others' comments, its a bit snappier than the 9 (I have PM9 and PM40) but its certainly manageable. Both guns have been reliable and are a joy to carry.

I have an MK40..Whom ever says they don't hurt hasn't fired one. The little guy in .40 bucks like a mule. NOT ANYTHING like a 9mm. I have MANY of both calibers as well as several in .45. The KAHR is by FAR the least fun to fire.

With that said, it's a fine machine and trust it in my carry rotation.

Good luck with your new Kahr.

The CM line doesn't have enough grip for me, and I don't have a use for 40Cal guns but that is why there's lots of choices.

Will be interested to here a range report.
Just remember that shot placement is much more important with what you carry than how big a bang you get with each trigger pull.

Zonker, tip-shoot 165 gr bullets or lower. 180gr hurt after a couple of mags.

Be sure to try firing it one handed, with either hand. I've fired a PM40, and found it to be borderline uncontrollable in rapid fire, especially one-handed. In that small of a package, 9mm is enough for me. YMMV.
The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.

How was your trip at the range? My first range trip left my right hand nice and puffy around the thumb. Was a good time
