    Beretta 92 Fs Compact

I have one that I carry in my truck. It is a little big for me to CCW it. I believe it is the oldest gun that I have. Not sure how many rounds are thru it probably several thousand. I have never had a malfunction of any kind. I did change out the hammer spring to a lighter one and it made my trigger much better. I have no intention of ever parting with mine. You cant go wrong with it.

    Close...

I have the Beretta 9000S in 9mm...and it is a favorite piece.
DA/SA or Cocked and Locked SA...with a decocker! Light, accurate, night sights, 10 + 1...fine weapon. Not for everyone as it took some getting used to the grip and trigger, but now...wow...what a weapon!

I carry a 92D Compact Type-M about half the time. I love it. Actually bought another just in case it is ever in for repair. With a good IWB holster it hugs up to my side so I hardly notice it is there. Accuracy and reliability are beyond reproach. I've become a bit of a Type-M junky.

Everyone please excuse the previous poster who obviously a show-off!

I own a 92F Type M...it (like the nearly all of Beretta's other compact 9mm's and .45 ACP's) was a fantastic gun tailor-made for CC duties. Unfortunately, Beretta thinks that their .380 ACP and .32 ACP mid-size Cheetahs and mini-size .32 ACP Tomcat are good enough CCW's....for some perhaps, but not me. Hopefully, a "Mini" Px4 or 90-Two (if one is ever made) will rectify that shortcoming in the Beretta line.

If you find a nice Type M or L (or Cougar 8000F Type L, Mini Cougar in .45 ACP. .40 S&W, or 9mm, or 92/96F Compact), by all means buy it.

Yes....their stainless steel guns finish is called "Inox" which is an aluminum frame mated to a stainless slide.

Post #4 referred to Beretta's PX4 Storm. You can find a review of it in the September issue of NRA's American Riflemane magazine.

The PX4 is a great gun and I have high hopes for the upcoming Compact (nicknamed the "Baby-G" around Beretta USA). As of about 4 months ago though the final design had yet to be agreed upon, so I doubt we'll see it yet this year. I was told that the goal of the "Baby-G" was to be smaller than a Glock-26 and hold at least as many rounds.

There is also a more subtle rumor of yet another compact in the works at BUSA. This one of a totally new design, probably single stack 9mm, and designed to compete with Karh. They were extrememly hush, hush about that one though.

I think I just attached pics of mine...er uh used to be mine (sold it). I liked it. For all intents and purposes it was and functioned like a normal 92fs, but was smaller, lighter, and single stack.

I'm in line already for the baby G PX4. It's supposed to utilize the full size PX4 mags as well, so a 17 +1 in a compact would be very nice. Nice to see Beretta finally getting into the CCW market. They've been missing the boat on that one for a while.
