    I can't resist a bargain - bought a Glock 36

I hadn't bought a new handgun in a while, but was in my favorite shooting range/gunstore a week ago. After shooting in the range I looked in the display cabinets on my way out. There were about 6 used guns in there priced at very low prices - the clerk told me that they were used range guns being sold by the store owner. Some of the guns showed external signs of wear, but a Glock 36 caught my eye. It was priced at $300 and didn't have a mark on it, looking almost new.

The clerk said that the Glock 36, being a 20 ounce .45 and difficult to shoot, did not rent very much. He said that most people renting a .45 would go with a large one, such as the Glock 21 or a 1911. This seemed to explain the lack of wear on the gun.

I'd had two other Glocks for 10 years, but didn't have the G36, even though I like .45s and had considered it as a possibility in the past for a carry gun. So I made a snap decision to buy the gun, as the price was too good to be true. A new Glock 36 was sitting in the next case, priced at $580.

A few days later I tried the gun out for the first time, putting 50 rounds of .45 ammo through it. I was very pleased with the accuracy and feel of the gun, and intend to add it to my carry lineup. I dug through my holster box and found a Kramer horsehide belt scabbard made for a compact H&K USP40c, and it fits the G36 perfectly. The H&K has the same barrel length, width and pointed trigger guard as the G36.

BTW...get you some Pierce +0 mag extensions. They look and feel better than factory, and solve that pesky pinky pinch that is inherent on the factory mags.

    Cool

Watch your back because there has to be a warrant out on you for theft.

I was thinking the same thing. If there isn't one out yet there should be.

You are one lucky dude! I love my G-36, and the recoil is no worse than my Kelter P-11. It's very controllable.

You won't regret the purchase - the 36 is my favorite Glock - the great price is the icing on the cake.
