Outstanding customer service !
I sent my three year old Tactical Ultra II back to Kimber on Monday, the 28th of August by FedEx Priority Overnight because of a couple of problems.... Failure to feed the last round in the magazine, erratic extractions and dim night sights.
Received the pistol back today by UPS Next Day Air, less than 2 weeks turn around time, and that included the Labor Day Holiday in that time period ! :)
They replaced the older external extractor slide with a brand new internal extractor slide, replaced the barrel, reamed the barrel chamber, polished the barrel chamber, polished the push rod, and replaced the front and rear night sights with new ones.
My cost ? Nothing except the shipping to Kimber.
Outstanding service !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll be headed to the range next week to see how everything performs.

Good news, Dave. Go to the range and celebrate a reworked pistol and the completion of your treatment. We'll pray that the pistol works great and that the treatments have already don't a great job as well.

My 5 inch Kimber was also returned (again) two weeks ago for warranty work (extractor problems).
I haven't heard a word.
I'll give it another week then after that if I don't have my gun or an answer I'll be getting upset.
There ought to be a lemon law for guns like there is with cars.
Thank God for my one "cheaper gun" that has 3 times as many rounds through it for alot less money and no problems.
Kimber still has a chance to make me a beleiver and loyal customer but that chance is fast disappearing.

Glad to hear they took care of you Dave. Hope the gun runs great now. The Custom Shop must be much less busy now than they were a few months back. Each time my gun went back they had it for like 6 weeks. I guess they have gotten most of the problem external extractors swapped out.
