    Springfield 1911 Ultra Compact .45

There is a Springfield 1911 Ultra-Compact for sale local with about 300 rounds fired through it. Comes with original case, paper work, 2 magazines, 2 boxes of ammo & a paddle holster. Seller is asking $600 firm. Don't know much about 1911's so is this a decent pistol & how about the price?

    Thanks!

The price is decent, depending. How old is the gun? Why is the person selling it? 3 inch barreled 1911's are notorious for being finicky. Since any repairs will have to be done on your dime, I'd insist on being able to shoot it before I'd buy it.

I had one. Stainless V10 version (ported barrel). It was very reliable... a fun gun to shoot.
