Wise words from Eric327. Shoot them both and a few ounces of weight or a few millimeters of thickness will be your last concern. You'll just buy the better gun.

Comparing a Keltec to a Glock (or M&P,Sig, XD etc.) is like comparing a Yugo to a Porsche. They are not even in the same league. The triggers on the Keltecs are like 9 miles of bad road.

Didn't realize he wanted a double stack. The G26 is 1.18". I believe that is the thinnest between Sig, Glock and S&W...the Big 3.

I like the P11 as a carry 9mm. No it is not as good as the Glock but the trigger can get better after time.

Or the SR40c. Yes, I agree, it's a pure peach!

Don't forget about the Walther P99c, just thinner than the G26 at 1.1".

I used to have one and did not have any problems with it, but sold it and am thinking of getting another one. When I had one, I used the Keltec P11 12 round magazine and used the +1 extension from the P40 to carry 13+1. What else is out there that is similar besides the G26/27, and Springfield XD9SC / XD40SC ??? I currently have a Sig P250 9mm SubCompact on layaway and just wanted to see my other options. Thanks for any info. God Bless
I recently switched from a Glock 27 to my P250 subcompact 9mm as my winter edc. I switched because I really didn't like the feel of the mini glocks in my hand, and in .40 I get some pain between my thumb and trigger finger due shooting thumbs up. The gun is a brick, but with the small grip frame for the subcompact is very nice in the hand. Also I find the x-change kids more interesting now that they can be had for about $250 now. So far I have over 4k rounds through it my P250s with only 3 mid fires due to light primer strikes. I compared the trigger to the other P250 trigger group I have and noticed that it broke about 1/4 inches sooner than the one I have not had any issues with. I called Sig explained to them the situation and they send me a mailing label yesterday. They stated that this was an older trigger group that didn't go through the upgrade from their earlier issues. As long as Sig takes care of the minor issue and it comes back working, I'm going to stick with this platform for quite sometime.

I believe the Ruger SR9c is one of the thinnest double stacks out there. The slide is .92 inch wide, the frame isn't much wider. You'll see a frame measurement of 1.18" in official listings, but that's across the safety levers, which is a meaningless dimension. Compare the width of the SR9c with any of the other compacts/subcompacts (Glock 26, XD9sc, M&P 9c, etc.), and you'll easily see the difference.

+1 to this. The Shield is only .95 inches thick with single stack 9 or 40.

Sorry, too early in tha a.m.. Didn't read where you're looking for double stack.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I believe that the Keltec P11 *IS* the thinnest and probably the lightest doublestack 9mm currently available. However I ended up just taking out my new Sig P250 subcompact out of layaway and using that. I really like the smooth as hot butter DAO trigger on this. God Bless

It's hard for me to imagine a 40 could get any slimmer than my Glock 27 and still be a double-stack.
