a while back I got a used taurus model 82 from S.O.G. for pretty cheap. I think i paid 149.00 plus a 20 ffl fee, 169.00 + tax out the door. I cleaned
the gun and it shoots great. best gun I ever got for 150 bucks. S.O.G. said it was used by a foreign military, but that was it. does any1 have any
knowledge about these revolvers origin or if they are safe to fire +p. This gun is a curio and relic firearm so it has to be at least a couple decades old.
I tried searching the serial number on the taurus website with no results.
According to the Taurus website the model 82 is +P rated. The ones being sold at Impactguns also state they are +P rated.
I'd still play it safe though, I'd contact Taurus with the serial number of the gun. With it they should be able to tell you the year made and verify that they were +P rated.
