    Taurus PT-1911C for Compact!

Just looked at the Taurus website tonight before I did my workout and what did I find? Well, first off, they redesigned their website, and I like the redesign. Pretty easy to use, better than the old version.

Second, they now have listed on the site, a 1911 compact! Stainless steel, very nice looking. The status entry does not list it as available yet but, maybe soon.

Now, this may be old news to you guys but I had not seen it before tonight so I thought I would post a link to the page that displays the 1911 compact model. The MSRP is only $634 and I like that because that means the guns will probably sell for between $550 and $600 in reality.

    Not bad.

They don't list dimensions but looking at the specs, I would say it is a Commander sized pistol. Interesting.

I took a 5" out at the local Shooter's show this weekend and it was a GREAT time. For ~$500 it's an incredible gun. Now I see a Commander / Compact version? I thinkit's time to start rubbing pennies :-)

Intresting. Personally, I suggest waiting till the model out for a while before purchasing. Why be a beta tester for Taurus?

Ditto on that, I'll wait a year. Any bugs will be known and/or worked out and the price will be cheaper when it's not the brand new thing in the cases.
