    Please help me decide

I have a Kahr P9 with night sights and have been toying with trading it for a PM9 w/o nite sites. Is it worth the swap? Or would you suggest keeping P9, and maybe buying a cheap PF9? Thanks!

You've mentioned a preference to plain sights versus night sights, though the two alternative choices suggest a preference for even lighter and more-concealable options than the Kahr P9. Yes??

Of the three platforms (K9/P9, PM9 and PF9), I have had stellar reliability only with the K9. While I haven't used the P9 myself, during 4yrs of trying out several PM9's and the PF9 I didn't read or hear much other than about the P9's reliability as being similar to that of the K9.

My own three PM9's (over 4yrs) were abject failures in reliability. To this day, I still don't know for certain what the problems were. Each was a jam-o-matic, not able to regularly go through magazines without a stoppage. The PF9 was more reliable, but nowhere near the K9's performance. Of course, all of this is strictly my own experience, though I'm not the one who'll need to be using your choice. Many people report fine reliability from both the PM9 and PF9.

Your call. I'd say, go with what works for your needs, in terms of reliability, performance and features.

Keep the P9 as a primary and get a CM9 as a bug.

I love my PM9, but I really dont see the need to swap out the P for the PM. I think you are giving up night sights for nothing. I'd keep the P.

If you are considering trading it that almost always means you dont really like it. So go for it, but obviously the final decision is yours.

I voted to keep it. Seems you always take a huge hit when you sell or trade.

buy the other one and shoot both till you decide to
    keep both or
    sell one of them

Even though these 2 guns are made for up close defensive purposes and are more accuate that any of us, I would just like to add that the longer barrel of the P9 will help with accuracy even more so over the PM9. God Bless

If you are gonna use it for a belt gun. keep the P the PM isnt that big of a difference. The PM is better as a pocket gun.

Why get rid of it. Are you wanting a pocket gun??? Is your p9 unreliable?? I will assum it runs fine just to big for pocket carry soooo keep it for when you IWB and buy a ulra lite revolver for pocket carry. Littler than the small kahrs ,1 less round but with a weight of as low as 10 oz you can forget its there at first.

Now I own 2 kahrs. 1 I bought from a guy that sounds just like ccw9mm. The CW9 Kahr performed perfectly for some 1200+ rounds so far now. I then went and bought a cm9 for pocket carry, 850 rounds later it to is perfect. I did carry a taurus 85ss for 20years and a pf9 for 2 1/2 before the kahrs. great little CC gun but not fun to range it and close to being to large for pocket carry but runs good. Price is right also being a 120 bucks cheaper than kahrs and lite revolvers.. Flip a coin. But would not sell the kahr. I use a great Comp-tac monotaur neutral at 2:15 position for the cw9 kahr.
