OK Glock guys, I need a no BS assessment

Thinking hard about a 19 Gen 4. Are these things fixed or what?

Glad you posed this, it'll be interesting to see what kind of responses you get. It appears to me that things have died down since Glock has remedied the fix. I'm thinking that if the Glock fix didn't do anything, you'd be hearing about it in numbers.

I'm wanting a G19 also but I'm thinking I'm going to get it in the Gen3 flavor. I like the Gen3 I already have and see no reason to switch.

You're gonna have a hard time getting a no BS assessment from a Glock guy. For your future reference.

What you want is a real assessment from a non Glock guy. Regarding the Gen-4 19 here's one: yes.

You won't have any problems with the Glock 19 / 4th gen, but I'd still prefer the 3rd gen...OMO

Depending on what the OP means by, "Glock guy"; to say that a Glock guy can't give an honest and fair assessment is in essence a bias in it's own right. If the OP means a fanatic that is brand myopic, then you have some ground to stand on. On the other hand, if the OP means a "Glock guy" is someone that owns one and has a preference for them, then you are standing on quick sand. A "Glock guy" has the potential to be as objective as a "brand x" guy or a "brand y" guy.

real Glock guys are more than happy with the Gen 3 and see no need for the changes that the Gen 4 brought. The old saying..."If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

I purchased a Gen 4 G 19 last year. As of this writing, I have shot about 1,000 rounds with no issues. I'm very very happy with my G 19.

No clue if the gen 4 is fixed but I know for SURE the gen 3 is so that's my preference. I carry a gen 3 G26 and when I wanted a G19 for night stand duty I specifically bought a gen 3.

I am lucky to have one of the first G19s. Purchased in 1993, I'm told they're the best!

I am not a "glock guy" I own several and carry them. All are Gen 3 and l like them very much. The Gen 3 fits my hand better. But I would consider a Gen 4. The 19 is my favorite.

If I am a glock guy I am in denial.

I don't work for glock but I have an old one that I really like. I don't know if that makes me a glock guy. Are there any glock girls? Pictures?

I do not know the status of the gen 4s.

My gen4 g26 has been flawless.
No change in recoil springs for this model.
I liked the thinner blackstrap and slightly larger magazine release.
My gen3 g22 has also been without issue.

Didn't mean to ruffle any feathers, but "Glock guys" can sometimes be the most impassioned folks out there. I'll just leave it at that.
