'70s vintage Colts were subject to indifferent factory quality and worn-out tooling back then... but if Chuck Rogers has gone through the pistol, then it is the best of the best! Thanks for sharing your gun porn!

Nothing beats a beautiful 1911 and that is a work of art.

    Magnificent.

I did think of a way that it could look a wee tiny bit better.

It really needs my name engraved on it.

The gun is a thing of beauty. I especially like the dehorning all around and the unusual checkering that resembles golf balls. What does something like that cost? It shows a tremendous amount of hand labor.

    Beautiful weapon. Know the weight?
As we used to teach in the spook business, carry a 25 if it makes you feel good, but do not ever load it. If you load it you may shoot it. If you shoot it you may hit somebody, and if you hit somebody - and he finds out about it - he may be very angry with you. -- Jeff Cooper

An intruder will be incapacitated by tear gas or oven spray, but if shot with a .357 Magnum will get angry and kill you.
