Pearce plus zero extender for Glock 36

Just put a set of Pearce plus zero mag extenders on my Glock 36 today, and the extra millimeter or two seems to be just the ticket for my large hands. But I noticed something about the extender that I thought I'd ask you all about: the back lower corner of the extender (the part that contacts the heel of your hand) seems much sharper than the original and digs into the hand a bit. Has anyone else noticed this, and if so, has anyone had success filing it down a bit? I've never done that - any suggestions on what type of file to use? Many thanks!
