What Do You Prefer and Carry
A Revoler or a Semi Auto Handgun.
I started out in LE in the early 70s carrying a S&W Model 19 four inch and a S&W Model 60 two inch.
The Agency I worked for transitioned to Semi Autos in 1987.
I feel real comfortable carrying a Glock Model 19 or a Commander Sized 1911.
I also feel real comfortable carrying a S&W Revolver, depending on where I'm going and what I'll be doing.
No matter what I'm carrying, I always carry a Ruger LCP as a BUG (used to carry a Sig P230 and before that a S&W Model 60). Habit from my LE Days when a good friend of mine was killed in the line of duty when his handgun malfunctioned.

I carry a Bersa Thunder 9 Ultra Compact Pro. It's never had any failures of any kind. I used to carry a S & W 642 but I like DA/SA a lot better than DAO. I also like 13+1 instead of 5.

Depends, I carry either a Kahr CW45, CZ75 P-02 or a DW 1911 CBOB. Depends on the mood I'm in and what I'm doing. I do have a couple of Ruger snubbies available if I want to go with a wheel gun.

On duty: Glock 22 with my J-frame as a back up
Off duty: M&P9 with my shield as a back up if I am going into the city or any other dangerous place and my Model 66 with my j-frame as a back up when I'm just going around town.

I carry a wide variety of guns, but only one at a time. I prefer guns that are extremely shootable, such as a Colt Gov model, any Glock, or any S&W revolver from j frames to N frames.
Sometimes I even slip a 32acp Berreta Tomcat in the pocket.
Carrying for me is not a fashion trend, it's been a way of life for over 20 years. So I have holsters, many, many holsters to carry these in a number of ways.
As a former Marine, and now lawman, I still live by SMEAC. Situation, Mission, Execution, Administration, and Command and Logistics.
The first three are very important. They dictate what the threat level I perceive is. I get this from the news, incidents occurring or have occurred where I am going. Or just a gut feeling. This by and large will determine my chosen piece.
The second is what my intended purpose will be dependent on the situation.
And the execution will determine my mode of carry.
All of these combined together, determine what I carry, and how, but may offset each other to allow for certain adjustments. For instance, environmental factors such as heat, cold, visiting the beach, formal or casual attire, and activity all have an influence.
Ignorance is a long way from stupid, but left unchecked, can get there real fast.

You carried two of the finest revolvers out of the ten best ever made IMHO.
I carry an M&Pc .357sig, or to work & back, its a Keltec P11.
Sometimes a 442 out in the yard while wearing the swimsuit doing chores, before hopping in the pool to cool off.
Up in the woods its the .357sig, and a 6in. Dan Wesson .357mag.

My main carry is a full size 1911 .45acp, next is a Springfield Champion SS, Beretta PX4 SC 9mm and I'll slip my wife's S&W 642 out once in awhile. Still running round's through my RIA compact 9mm and waiting to order a holster.

I'm pretty versatile. I, too, carry a Bersa Thunder 9 UC Pro which I adore. I also carry a Colt 1911, a Taurus TCP .380, a Smith and Wesson 637 J-Frame, and just now added a Smith and Wesson K-Frame which I'm sure will find it's way into my carry rotation. And that's just what I carry now...but my past lists were fairly similar.
My only criteria is that it be a good quality weapon that I shoot well. I'm a sucker for good ergonomics and good triggers...everything seems to fall into place after that. That can be said for revolvers and autoloaders in my case.
An intruder will be incapacitated by tear gas or oven spray, but if shot with a .357 Magnum will get angry and kill you.

On duty - Glock 30 + Glock 26 or PM9 or LCP
Off duty - Glock 26 + PM9 or LCP; or PM9 + LCP; or 2 x LCP
I'm fixin' to get a LCR which might replace the PM9.
The more good folks carry guns, the fewer shots the crazies can get off.
