    Glock 19 or Glock 26

    Hello DC,

I have already purchased my Glock 19 (Gen 4) and am considering on purchasing a Glock 26 the sub-compact for CC. Should I just carry my G19 or is worth the purchase just to CC?

    Thanks for reading

I did not like the grip I could achieve with the 26 and if I added a mag/pinky extension to it, the gun was almost the same size as the 19.

Have you handled and fired a 26? It is a little smaller and easier to conceal than a 19 but not by a lot.

Get the G26, make it a 3rd Gen. With your 19 mags you can have 2 guns in one.

It's been said that asking a gun forum if you should purchase a firearm is like asking a room full of alcoholics if you should buy another round.

Seriously though, get the G26. They both shoot about the same as far as accuracy, and it's nice to be able to carry a G19 magazine with it.

If the 19 isn't comfortable enough for EDC for you get the 26

GLOCK 19 is best conceal carry pistol!
I just happen to carry one myself. That being said the GLOCK 26 is a damn fine pistol also. Like Yoda said the grip takes some getting used to but a +0 pinky extension helps but also makes the grip about the same size as the 19. I have both and like them both. I prefer the best grip, most capacity, and as large as pistol as I can conceal for carrying.

Disclaimer: You may end up with the GLOCK 26 no matter what you decide and that may not be your last GLOCK either.

My grip on the 19 is really 2.5 fingers (index finger on guard/trigger); middle, ring and my pinky goes underneath the mag. With the 26 I only have about 1.5 fingers; middle and half my ring finger. But if you have found a good grip with the 26 it is a workhorse.

Yeah, I was thinking that even with the grip extension on the G26 it still doesn't extend the handle where your palm rests much if any, while giving the pinky a place to grip. which could help with imprinting not having that inch or so.

    I have a Gen 4 G 19. Love it. I looked at the 26 but ended up with a 36 :)

As mentioned above you never have enough and one Glock is not enough.

You won't be sorry adding the 26 to your collection.
