Talking I am on a Gen 4 Glock and Roll....

Okay so I have passed the first step in admitting that I am sick in the head. I am now justifying my Glock purchases with reasoning that makes perfect sense to me, but may not make sense to others.

    1. Glock 19 Gen 4 (excuse) Arguably the greatest combat firearm ever produced and had to have it.
    2. Glock 26 Gen 4 (excuse) My G19 needed a little brother
    3. Glock 23 Gen 4 (excuse) I really need a jack of all trades
    4. Glock 17 Gen 4 (today's excuse) My G19 needed a big brother
    5. Glock 34 Gen4 (future excuse) My G17 needs and big brother and I will use this in pistol leagues!

Sweet! A good setup. I gotta break in my Gen 4 23 this weekend. Sure like the feel of the 4s, and really like that mag release.

I love the feel of the Gen 4's......No real reason to stipple anymore......I just shot 150 rounds through my new G17 today and it fired like a little champ. God I love that gun!

    Thumbs up

'Glad you're back to living up to your name.

'C hawk Sig', or 'C hawk M&P' just doesn't have the same ring.

I'm going to stay in my happy little Gen3 world, but am really amp'ed to hear Gen4 is on track and living up to what we expect.

    {edit}

    I still don't see a G30 in there. Are you skeered it's going to out-shoot your 1911's?

Ah - never mind, I just checked. The Gen4 G30's just got released on June 14. It'll likely still be a while before they start showing available.

Really there are no major reasons to sell or upgrade an existing Gen 3 for a Gen 4. If buying new there are no reasons to buy a Gen 3 over a Gen 4. I really like the slimmed down grip and texture on the Gen 4's for sure.

As far as Sig's go, I still need a stainless steel P226 with rose grips!

On to M&P......... I have many and don't have a need as of right now. I was told from a secret source that S&W is working on a new M&P as I speak.

Your rationale makes perfect sense to me. You do realize your glocks have cousins in other calibers? Seems a shame to not have them get to know their extended family.

    WHAT NO GLOCK .45??????

You MUST MUST MUST pick up a G30!!!!

I say sell the G23 and get the G30 - all you need is 9mm and .45 - skip the .40!!!

Welcome to the madness and post some pics while youre at it!!!!!!

    Here are mine: 26, 17 & G30...

dump the 40 short and weak :)
nice collection there. i just picked up a G4 G19 and i much prefer it to the G3 G19 i had before. i have the 17,19 and 26 as i only shoot 9mm. 45 is just too damn much to shoot a lot. i might pick up a 36 or 30SF to shoot very little and carry a lot though.
