Taurus 605 Blued....Man I LIKE this gun a LOT!!!!! It kicks like a girlfriend that found out youve 'been sleeping with her sister!!! Man this thing is FUN!!! I chose the dark color because I will probably carry it from time to time!! It's quite hilarious, I used to think my XD45 kicked, until I shot this thing a few times! My trigger finger was a little sore! My XD feels like a .22 after shooting the 605!! Man it's fun tho!!! Anyone else have one of these??? MIKE??? Isn't this what you have?
Also, what do you guys suggest for carry ammo in this???

Reason: Forgot a question.
CubSmurf, welcome to the club! kicks like a mad mule, but very accurate! I carry mine regularly, and feel fully armed. I practice with .38s just to keep the grove in my forehead from growing too deep from the recoil...
You can definitely try it out! It's fun!!! (Insert evil laugh!) I already checked, it fits well in my Uncles Mikes IWB. So, I think I may carry it now and then. What do you think for carry ammo?
I have the Tarus Model 85 in .38 special which is the little brother of the 605. My wife likes it so much that I will probably lose it to her side of the gun safe. She especially likes the feel of the grips. I have been thinking about getting one of the 605s if she decides that the Model 85 is her weapon. (For obvious reasons I give her first choice.)
about being in a BG situation...when you shoot that thing, you probably won't feel the kick or hear the shot.
Enjoy your purchase, it won't be your last!

In a moment of absolute financial desperation, I had to sell my stainless 605. It had been a good gun (went back to the factory once for a jammed cylinder center pin; but Taurus was as good as their word and fixed it right up). Shooting it was like slamming my hand in a car door, but it never failed to bring a smile to my face.
I miss that gun. I need to get meself a new snubby soonest.
PT-111: is it a Rossi 471?I have one of these little babies.....I bought it as a glove box gun for $150..it turned out to be so accurate and reliable,I baby the thing.I use it in IDPA alot.I really like the grips that came on it.The trigger sucked in the beginning, but has smoothed up alot w/ use.I'm sucker for cheap revolvers.
Here is a link to the page on the Rossi website that lists my gun. It is listed as the Model R46202 but may have had a different model number when we bought it. Back then, Rossi was its own company. Taurus ownes Rossi now.
My Bad...it's a 461....k frame size(takes the same speedloaders)Mine's made by Taurus.I wouldn't hesitate getting another Rossi or Taurus for that matter.
