    What's your actual snubby carry ammo?

    I'm a snubby and 38 fan, in part because of the wide range of loadings and revolvers that you can utilize. That said, I'm always looking at different snubbie sd loadings, from 148 grain full wadcutters to 158 +p swchp's, and everything in between. Right now, I carry mostly standard pressure federal nyclads. Actually, I usually carry 4 nyclads and one cor-bon dpx +p (just because i can). I also sometimes carry federal 158+p's swchp in my old trade in model 36.

    Just curious what, in the end, you guys all carry. Thanks

    KSP

    (you can choose more then one option in poll)
    (and I suppose some of us snubbie fans are a bit snobby, when it comes to the history and classic lines of snubbies, when compared to pocket rockets)

    What I carry in my BUG depends on the venue. On the street I'll carry 125gr Cor Bon DPX 357. In the woods it'll be 158 LSWC or 180gr Federal Cast Core hard lead.

    I planned to carry 158g +p SWCHP but they were a bit much when it came to making consistent follow up shots. If I decide to keep and carry my 637 after it's recent failure then I will probably downgrade to standard pressure rounds.

    I carry 135gr +P .38 Spl Speer Gold Dot Short Barrel (23921, 53921). The 125gr +P (23720, 53720) is for standard barrels.

    I typically buy the 50 round pack: Ammunition To Go : 50rds - 38 Special Speer LE Gold Dot Short Barrel 135gr. +P Ammo [53921] - $29.95

    Glassers, but I rarely carry that gun. It stays in a desk drawer most of the time.

    The rounds in the gun are almost always the +P lead SWC-HPs, but my spare ammo in speed strips and speed loaders are typically JHPs. The noses of the lead HPs get dinged up in the pocket, but the JPS seem to tolerate that environment better.

    Hot-loaded WC's in my 32-1, which is what I carry most.
    In my I-frame Terrier, I carry 200g SWC's at about 600 fps.
    In my 37 Airweight, it's Nyclads.

    It's "one-size-fits-all" for my .38 Special revolvers used for personal defense; +P 158 grain semi-wadcutters. Whether 2-inch or 4-inch, and all points in betweeen, this load does it all in .38 Special. The revolvers here all shoot it very cloce to point of aim at 15 yards. For .38 Special "I don't need no stinkin' bullet jackets." Lead will do nicely.

    OK LouisianamanMan;

    You're making me stoke up the Banker's Special today with 200 grain handloads for going out and about town on business connected with the civic boards on which I serve.
