    New to forum, and new Kimber Solo owner

    Hi all,

    As you can see, I'm pretty new to the forum.
    Recently picked up a used Kimber Solo from a LGS - apparently, the previous owner had it for 1 month, and never fired it. The insides do look pristine, still packed in Cosmoline, so I'm hopeful. The mag follow and mag were also spotless, and the mag spring was very stiff. So the "never fired" claim seems above board and accurate to me.

    Anyways, I'm wondering about lubrication of this little beast. For some of my other guns (signature) I have a combination of Milcomm TW-25B grease, TW-2500 synthetic oil, and Steel Shield Tech: Weapon Shield CLP. Thinking of using the combo of TW25 grease on the rails, and TW2500 on the locking lug, around the barrel, and on the internal springs.

    ANyways, just looking for input on what other Solo owners are using to lube up their pieces, and how it works for them.

    Congratulations on what I consider one of the best, 9mm carry guns available!

    I use a little Mobile 1.

    The magazines are TIGHT, and will be for quite a while.

    Lock back the slide, insert magazine, and use the slide release to load the first round.

    Kimber has a list of recommended ammo. Mine has run 100% with GOOD, defensive ammo, like what they have listed. Cheap ammo sometimes runs, and sometimes doesn't. The cheapest ammo I've found so far that runs 100% is Winchester NATO, with 124 grain bullets.

    I use Shooter's Choice FP-10 on my Solo, per Kimber's recommendation. It seems to work great.
