Pocket Preparedness and Concealed Carry. What's in your pocket?

Although not perfect, this is the most recent video I made on my YouTube Channel on what I think is the bare minimum every guy should carry in his pocket these days.

    Just a thought.....

I hear a few people saying "It fits in my pocket"

I always wonder if these same folks can draw fast enough to use the weapon if a need arises (Tueller drill?)

I have a CM9 that fits and in some pants draws quicker than others

But.......... I have moved from constant pocket carry to almost 100% IWB ...... For me, its much faster

If you gotta go pocket carry, a small 38 would be my first choice

My LCP in a Superfly in my right pocket, a spare mag in my left pocket, and a S&W Black-Ops are always with me.

One of the most effective new tools I own for pocket carry is a Recluse Holster. If you haven't taken a look at them, I suggest you do. I am becoming increasingly consistent about pocket carry EVERY SINGLE TIME I leave the house. This holster design has contributed comfort, concealment & speed to that consistency.

I think that the Rekluse is one of the best holsters made for pocket carry. As soon as they make one for the Solo, I'll have another one in my pocket.

Nice video, though I'm not a big fan of rapid-closing a knife.

Good point about most important EDC being your cell phone.

My EDC pocket contents pretty much the same, minus the mousegun: Cell phone, small wallet, knife (I carry a much smaller Kershaw), keys. Light and extra mag if not on belt. I'm putting together a micro first aid kit I can slip in a pocket or on the belt... I just haven't figured out exactly what's going in it.

I wouldn't trust any holster that doesn't completely "cover" the trigger...

The Recluse looks interesting, BUT it is open to the body, lots of sweat for me... I use a Mika pocket holster. I'm not even sure what he makes them out of, but my gun stays nice and dry, and it comes out of the holster when needed.
