Congrats. Nice looking piece there.
Para makes a fine weapon, and there are a couple on my "get" list.
Really like the contrasting colors on it. Just bacause they are tools doesn't mean they can't look nice.

Maybe because I'm a woman, I definately don't find the grip too short since my pinky falls perfectly at the end of the grip. As for it being too wide, I've held fatter guns. haha. I'm just having too much fun with it to complain.

Did you try out the Para beforehand, or did your husband just luck out with this pick?

Wendy,
The Para Ordnance guns are well made and very reliable. One I had, a Carry 12 LDA is just a smidgen bigger than your Warthog and all stainless. The LDA (Light Double Action) trigger almost ruined me on a single action gun but I recovered. I put somewhere over 6000 rounds through mine and the only problem I had was the firing pin broke after about 4800 rounds during a high speed load and go shoot.
You have a beautiful gun there.....shoot it as often as you can!!!

beautiful piece that Warthog. I almost bought one a couple of months ago, but held off because of the lack of ambi-safety (I'm lefty).
It's definitely on my get list - I'll put the ambi safety on after market.
btw - happy birthday. now give yourself a gift and get your chl.

I think I'm just lucky on both! But anyway, I did try out other .45 autos and Paras, but not the Warthog. I think he made an excellent choice.

Nice gun, want a para for my 1911 collection but will probably go with a full size. I looked at the warthog befor buying my Colt Defender. I perfered the smaller grip of the Defender but it was a tough decision.
