Who carries a Kel Tec P3AT as a bug.

I got myself a Kel-Tec P-3AT for a Bug just to lighting the load a bit.
I am still using the J Frame as my bug at this time until I get a couple of 100 rounds through the Kel-Tec to make sure that it is reliable enough for CCW carry.
It fits nicely in any pocket and it weighs like nothing even when it is fully loaded.
So who uses one for backup and how do you like it?BTW
I am using 95 Gr Winchester SXT's for my carry ammo.

I'm carrying one as my BUG.
Love it now that it's working 100%
You're correct that it feels like it's near weightless in the pocket.
Very nice little Back Up Gun.

Same here small, slim and lightweight. Great for a backup. I haven't had any failures yet. Not a lot of fun at the range but I wasn't expecting it to be.

I used to....carried it in a kydex pocket holster made by David Stillwell at Grandfather Oak holsters. Good gun, no "fluff & buff" needed. It was a first generation version.

Mine looked really good. It functioned checked OK at the gun shop.
Then mine needed some Fluff & Buff & then some more Fluff & then two more Buffs and some final Fluff...and then it worked great.

    Primary

Mine is my Primary due to work and carry constraints. That said, it's not my take to the range for a fun day of shooting gun.

I have one and I love it.A lot of the time it is my primary carry due to the uniform I have to wear.It is my always gun as its always with me.I carry it in my front right pocket and if I just put both hands in the pockets no one notices. It looks like I'm just relaxed and I can have it in my hand and no one the wiser. sj

I have two of them, and a P32. I agree that they are not the most fun to shoot at the range, but their concealability gives them their niche. I carry Corbon Power Balls in the P3AT.

I have put about 600 rounds through my first one, and about 200 rounds through the second one. Had to have the recoil springs replaced on the first one recently. They do wear quickly.

For target practice, I like the S&B ammo. It seems to be cleaner than the Winchester.

I use a Jagwear pocket holster. It has a free swinging holster mounted on a panel that prevents the gun from printing. The free swing holster allows you to get a full grip on the gun when you draw. It also completely covers the trigger, but I am still careful not to put other items in that pocket.

I have one and it has been 100% from day one. It is usually my BUG, but occaisionally primary when clothing or circumstances dictate.

I too like the P3AT. Mine is very accurate and easy to conceal. I couldn't believe how good it shoots with such small sights. Front right pocket carry with Uncle Mike's pocket hoslter.
