Nice looking weapon. How does that gun shoot at defensive ranges?

I've only put 35 rounds through it so far but in my limited experience it's doing great, shoots where I aim/point within a paper plate size target as I'm moving and I can hit golf ball size targets at 15 yards when still and aiming, good enough for me.

There is a little glare on the mag. Otherwise perfect. I take it you are either a serious hobbyist or looking to be published. Excellent photo.
I love my xdM and xd sub. Both in 9mm.

I'm looking at getting the XDS for my wife since she likes to shoot her 38 special but has to wear a gel glove when she does. I think the XDS will be a better defensive weapon for her. I'm reading all the comments about them... so far, pretty positive... make a good partner to my XDM...

    BTW, nice photo...

My wife has the XDs and loves it. Only put about 50 rounds through it but so far so good. The heavily textured grip is pretty hard on the hands. Wife plans on using gloves from now on. Extremely accurate too.

Your photo of the black gun on a dark gray background works quite well, as the fine detail on the gun shows up clearly. When you shoot a black gun on a white background, the gun will often come out looking too black, with no detail visible. I think this is because with a camera that automatically measures exposure and sets the shutter speed accordingly, the white background will reflect too much light into the camera's light meter and shorten the shutter speed excessively, making the black gun appear excessively black and the various shades of black on the gun do not show up. It is analogous to shooting a picture of a person with the sun behind the person - all you can see is the outline of the person and the person's face is too dark.

Great picture. I have had mine for two weeks and have fired 150 shots and it's great! Started carrying in a new Sticky holster.

Springfield XD's including the older models and the CZ 75's are two of the most underrated handguns ever made along with the Markarov..
