Stippled my subcompact... its not for everyone but i love it

awhile ago, i stippled my XD Service. I love it. So I decided to stipple my carry gun, XD .40 Subcompact. I used a cheap soldering gun from Radio Shack. I lightly touched the surface of the gun. I got a nice small burn hole. Like the title says, its not for everyone but I really like it.

You're right, not for me. You know who would love that, though... Hickok45.

I've simply loved the couple of stippled pistols that I have held. A G19 with slightly reduced grip circumference and stippled grip (all around) made all the difference. Mmmm, good.

I really like it...on other people's guns. I don't have the guts to do it myself although the functionality appeals to me.

You did a good job. Here is a Glock 31c I just did.

Nice Job! I did my M&P compact and really like it also. The grip is far more secure yet still comfortable. Much more secure to hold especially one handed.

    Congrats on having the courage.

I just ordered an Arrendondo Mag Extension for my 9mm. It is my bedside gun. I am saving up for a X300 to put on it.

Im a big Springfield Fan and trying to figure out if for my .45 if I am getting another XD in 5" or a 4" 1911 Lightweight Operator.

    Thank you to everyone.

Looks ok but not for me. Looks like it took a lot of patience.

I've never had an issue with stock grips, and nearly all stippling jobs end up looking like the owner did it. But your gun; do as you wish. No one else need answer for it.

I did my M&P after having it for like a week. I absolutley love, it helps so much with getting a good grip. I think it doesn't look bad at all.

That being said, I'm changing my EDC to a G19 sometime real soon. I'm pretty sure I might end up wanting to sell the M&P but I'll bet its gonna be a little harder having a "custom" stipple job on it. Hindsight being 20/20 I maybe wished I hadn't done it. Who knows I, I'll prob just keep it.

Looks good. I don't have the patience and don't want to mess my carry pistol up, so I just used tread tape on my XD to get a similar feel.

Looks good but it appears like it would not feel so good against skin and/or drag against ur outside shirt causing a print ..
The police are not there to protect you from crime, they are there to arrest the guy after the crime has been committed, assuming they find him. It is your responsibility to protect yourself and your family.
