You guys got lucky. I just called the Casselberry store and they would only sell to walk in customers in the store, I talked with two different sales guys. They do have them.

Sorry to let you down, but they wanted a $50 transfer fee. Not happening, it's less paperwork for them then if I were to come in person and do a 4473. I want a Shield, but I'm already paying sticker price...I'm not adding BS transfer fees to that!

Also, supposedly they are no longer accepting out of state orders that they have to ship. My FFL called to order a few and that's what he was told.

OUCH! Yeah, I never got charged that BS charge. Guess I'll stop telling people about it. I thought they were awesome. They do have like 6 other stores you could call a few others. I can see a dealer calling to order them, maybe they'd be less like to want to deal with them. But a customer wanting a shield who cares if its in person or not, It's still a sale on the books. That coupled with the fact that you pay the shipping charge. The shouldn't be out any money.

Bummer guys, sorry about the trouble. I'll keep my ear to the pavement and post back if I hear of any LGS's who have them.

If you like an out of the waste band, I grabbed a Fobus Paddle model PPS. I fricken love it, goes on easy and has great retention. I paid 20 some dollars on Amazon for it. The. You can use it till your other holster arrives and retire the Fobus to a backup.

I was looking for a Shield and check with a gun and pawn shop in town. They have a 9mm in the case. I went by and handled it on two separate days. That was about a week ago, but I had to leave it there: $585. No, thanks.

I got mine in January. I was also told the wait would be rediculous, like 3-6 months. Put myself on my LGS waiting list and got the call 2 days later!! $375!

Great price! So the lesson seems to be to jump on a list if you want a Shield, that the wait may well be much shorter than advertised.
