I have one. It runs good with all ammo as long as you keep the slide slick. It is fun to shoot and a lot cheaper for a day
    of fun.
The only bad thing I can say about it is the finish is so soft it will rub off fast. The first time you put it in a holster
all the sharper edges will rub right off. It looks like it has been in and out of a holster for years.

I've been told that GSG makes it for Sig, and that the owners of Sig and GSG are brothers.

GSG made with sig graphics and $40 higher price. Fun shooter but fragile finish. Threaded for a can but faux ones available for the tacti-cool look.

i see that buds guns has a GSG model that is almost $100 less than the SIG... do you think this is a better option then if they are identical guns???? German Sport Gun 2210M1911B 1911 22LR 5" 10+1 Blu $320.00 SHIPS FREE

I have a GSG 1911 22 after about 20,000 rounds the slide cracked behind the ejection port, returned it to ATI and they replaced the slide with what looked like it may have been a newer version since mine wasn't the only one that cracked,I've put at least 5000 rounds thru it since it's been back with no problems yet and mine eats any ammo I run thru it.I tend to run a thin film of synthetic grease on the slide rails and shoot hundreds of rounds at a time before cleaning without any FTF/FTE.IMHO save the $100.00 and get the GSG they are the same gun.

Another option is the Colt 1911-22, the Colt version (imported by Umarex), is made by Carl Walther, not German Sport Guns. It's $30 more an the Sig at Bud's, Colt Rimfire 1911 Government 22 Long Rifle 5".

Here's a couple reviews on it, Colt Government 1911 .22LR/M1911.ORG and Colt Government Model 1911 22 Long Rifle Semi-Automatic Pistol/Gunblast.com

I have the German Sport Guns 1911-22, but I really want to get the Walther version.

I chose the SGS for the price. It shoots great. Mine came with extra sights and a few Allen wrenches. The sights are plastic and the slide is mystery metal but for what it is I think a decent value. Extra mags can be found but are pricey and it only came with one.

Mine shoots well, >2000K down range. But as others have stated the finish is BAD. Mine is OD green, but it is missing large patches of finish. I'll try to post a pic.

I love it. Whenever someone tells HotGuns to "can it", this is what he goes and does!

My Dad has one and though it is cool it had more malfunctions than we would like. I still prefer his and my Mark IIIs for a 22 semiautomatic.
