Lunch break today = New 1911

During my lunch break today I decided to skip the meal since I had late breakfast. I went to the 3 LGS to browse for new stuff. I hit the third one and I see they have a new Springfield Range Officer and I made the mistake of asking to hold it. (can anybody relate?) This gun has been in my wish list for some time so when I asked for the price I get a "well is marked $825 but today, for you... $725 and.....since you are military, take another $35 off" I was like, where is the hidden camera? This must be my lucky day! I double checked finish, tolerances, ramp and barrel and gladly paid $690 for this beauty.

I was very impressed with how tight the tolerances are on this pistol. I am very particular about that when I purchase a 1911 and this one is really tight. I cleaned it last night and compared it to my Dan Wesson and I although my DW is tight, the RO feels even better. Can't wait to go shoot it this weekend. I had some VZ zebra grips in my spare parts so I dressed her up a little.
