GLOCK may just make 1 pistol (in different calibers) but hey if you're gonna do one thing might as well do it better than anyone else.

    My favorite 5

    GLOCK
    Ruger
    Colt
    S&W
Well that's the 4 that I have any experience with anyway, I have a few Taurus' but they don't belong on this list.

    Then in that case....

    Glock 19 or 30
    S&W 686 or 66 357
    Colt 1911
    Sig Sauer P226
    H&K USP

with Ruger SP101 357 as an honorable mention!

I will say that Sig Sauer makes the coolest looking guns out there, not to mention one of the finest pistols available.

That's what I was wondering. I'll just post my 5 current love interests:

    Glock
    Beretta
    S&W
    Ruger
    Glock

I know. I listed one of them twice.

The funny thing is that I can agree with most of these lists. If I had the money I'd buy any of them after research & try-outs.

Suffice to say that just about all gun manufacturers make great guns & some that are dogs or close to it. Even some really great guns can have have some lemons that for some reason are not reliable when the rest in their class are trouble-free.

    5. FN

Yes, there are three number ones. If value where to play a part they aren't equal. If how I shoot them were the main factor they wouldn't all be tied. If the issue is that is best for CCW then they don't all belong at the top. But if the main question is what I trust to defend the family, there's no difference. In fact the top 3 are all in regular use for doing just that.
