    You do realize there are "modern designs" that come in .45 too, right? The difference in recoil between my buddies G19 and my G21 is negligible. Plus the G19 only holds 2 more rounds.

    Oh I know I have a XD45C that holds 10+1 or 13+1...I was just poking the 1911 dudes in the ribs mainly...good fun stuff. :)

    Have "48 hrs" on as I read this , just have to love the 80's, everyone good guys bad guys all used grown up guns .44 mags a .45 colt a .45 acp & for a small bore..... .357 mag!

    Shiny Colt Gold Cup .45

    The original poster started this out with a shiny Colt Gold Cup .45. Those always appealed to me as well. They seem to be the definitive .45 ACP handgun. I have two of them and would not part with them.
