Sold all my (Glock) .40 calibers

I had 3 Glocks in .40. I tried them for a bit, but just never cared for them. The recoil was just too much for me to handle and I never really saw any true advantage over a 9mm or .45 (both of which I still have).

Over the last several months, I sold them to friends who would give them a loving home. I am sure these Glocks will give them many many hours of fun and excitement. As for me, with the money (slight loss) I just purchased another Glock 19 and 26 (9mm) as well as a new Ruger LCR.

You still have three of the best carry guns on the planet. No regrets.

I too dumped the .40, not because of recoil, I just didn't feel I was gaining anything ballistically for the extra money. I'm just fine with nine mm.

"380 is too weak, 45acp is too slow, 10mm is uncontrollable, 45Gap is just stupid, 357Sig is too fast, 9mm is too light, and the 40S&W has no place in the world". same old crap.

    380, 9mm, 40, 357Sig, 45ACP, 38, and 357. Usually carry a G26, Sometimes a G23, SW442, or LCP. P229 and G21 mostly for home defense. Looking for a new compact 45ACP.

Glad the OP has found a system that works for him but this thread appears to have no purpose other than to spark yet another caliber debate.

you missed my point. what I'm saying is that caliber selection/rejection is subjective. for every on you pick, there will be a forum full of people waiting to tell you how terrible that bullet is or what choice you should've made.

There is a back button in case you enter a thread you don't like the contents of. It's usually an arrow in the upper left hand corner of the screen.

I got it , just that you listed all semi-auto cartridges and couldn't resist.

    Cool

Variety is the spice of life my friend.

    I sold my G-19 to buy a S&W Model 10 but have kept my G-23 and G-36.

    I have one 9mm and it is my 1964 T-Series Hi-Power.

Since retiring last year I have gone into the S&W .38/.357 wheel gun mode.

There are lots of choices out there and whatever blows your dress up is the way it should be.

    OS

    The latest S&W :

thanks. there's also an off button or your computer somewhere should the urge to dig up and then beat a dead horse strike again.
