Thumbs up Glock experts: Best gun for conversion G20 or G21 ???????>>>>>>>

Thinking of getting a Glock either a G20 or G21 and then doing the conversion for the 45acp or 10mm depending on the model I choose. Which one would be more easier to convert and more reliable not in terms of self defense but has a fun gun to play around with. Thanks for any info. God Bless

Are you going to shoot more 45 or 10mm?

Answer that question then buy that gun.

They are both built on the same large frame, doesn't really matter.

You're going to need to buy a new slide & barrel either way.

If you want it to be reliable, yes, you do.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I would shoot more the 45acp so I am thinking of getting the G21SF and then getting the slide, 6inch hunting barrel, etc. for the G20. Sounds like a plan !!! Has anyone actually done this and if so how do you like it ??? Thanks again for any info. God Bless

Put a set like that together for a friend of mine. G21 (Gen 3) with a 6" KKM 10mm conversion barrel using same slide. He picked the .45 as his carry caliber so we started with the G21. No issues with the conversion function & I can assure you that hot 10mm ammo puts the hammer-down on coyotes.

Don't think the 45 barrel will fit in the hole in the 10mm slide. I've also heard to get the extra slide as the 45 slide will be lighter than the 10.

I don't know, sounds like a great reason to just buy another gun to me.
