+1 on the watch pocket for speed strips

Sp101 3" in a maxtuk! No one argues with the .357 mag.

I don't carry an SP101 now, but I have in the past (one of those sales I regret), and the weight never really bothered me. Then again, it came in around 26oz, and my FS all-steel 1911 that is my daily carry now is closer to 40oz, so apparently weight isn't high on my list of concerns.

The holster I use for my SP101. Rides close to the body.

I carry my SP101 every day AIWB for the last 2 years. My SP is the 2" DAO version. I have had it for abut 8 years so, it is well broken in and the action is smooth. I have installed a XS Standard Dot Night Sight and just lately Hogue Grips. I also have taken a Dremel Tool and shaped the trigger to better fit me and polished the sides of the Gun. I also carry the LCR357 as Back up. Having 10 rounds of 357 plus 3 reloads is a comfortable feeling.

    Cool

I do not carry an SP-101 every day but when I do the Side Guard Quick Clip is the way I go.

XS Big Dot night sites and wolff springs with Pachmayr grips make this an excellent carry rig.

    I carry AIWB.

My SP101 is my EDC about 80% of the time. Simply Rugged pancake holster and a quality belt, and I barely notice it's there.

I have an IWB for my wife's SP101 and I have carried it. It can carry quite well with little discomfort with the right holster for your build and climate.

Hi, I usually carried my Ruger Snubbies during the Summer months.

    High Noon Paddle:

The Ruger DAO SP101 didn't have a great trigger.

Still fun to shoot Double Tap .357 Mag loads through it!

A very sturdy choice if you don't opt for the lighter and some what more advanced LCRs.

I carried a 3" sp101 all day today in a simply rugged owb holster. I also have a crossbreed supertuck for IWB. It's the heaviest of my options but I do love the gun. It's not a problem to carry unless it's a day for light clothing. Then it's the lcr's turn

I use a 1.5" gun belt and a Simply Rugged Silver Dollar Pancake holster around 3 o'clock, and it isn't uncomfortable at all. The weight isn't all in one spot. It does creak though. I'm happy with the setup. I'll try to get a pic up.
baby powder on the holster/belt contact points will stop this (the creaking) for a while. it needs to be re-applied periodically, though

i remember when i was carrying in a Barnes & Noble bookstore and my rig starting creaking with virtually every breath i took. i tried to avoid people as much as could until i got out of there into a noisier environment.

I was just thinking that! Good looking holsters everyone. I may have to get a good IWB holster and give that another try. I'm loving all the responses, seems like I'll be in good company! :)
I carry a .357mag because no one bickers about the .357mag being "enough".

I'm liking the High Noon paddle holster as well. Looks very sharp.
