    Smith and Wesson snubs

Was thinking about picking up another S&W snub, 637, but my local gun stores are all out, the wholesaler Jerry doesnt have any, and neither does Buds Guns online.... what is up with that? Is it the same in your neck of the woods? I live in NYS

I haven't seen a shortage in my area...and I'm always looking at them.

I've been trying to buy a S&W 442 for a while and none of the gun shops around here have them. I may resort to GunBroker.

S&W's factory near me seems to be overtaxed with the huge demand, and with the election getting closer I'm willing to bet it'll get tougher.

    There's a S&W Model 27-2 I want but I'm poor :(

    Love my S&W 360 (357mag)

Ive tried the 357 magnum snubs before, and i can honestly say i would rather try to kiss a skunk than fire them again. I ended up selling my Taurus 357 snub.

Plenty of Model 637 airweight's here. I traded mine in 6 months into owning one for a Ruger LCP because the clear coat finish was going..already. I thought S&W fixed that issue.

I own 642 and 640 pro. If you want to shoot heavy loads I would go with 640 pro and 357 mag. 135 gr. gold dot short barrel. They shoot well from my 640 pro.
If you want more power go with 40sw or 9mm in auto pistol. Recoil will kill your accuracy. M@P Shield, Kahr Pm9 for auto and extra round or two.
Snubs are harder to shoot and will cost more ammo to practice.

    I prefer 60s, 649s, or 640s. But that's just me.

The LGS over here has 7 or 8 new Smith's in the case, as well as 3 or 4 Taurus's. There are 2 or 3 used ones. You can call me a revolver snob, but I would opt for the Smith over the Taurus. I just bought a snub, but it's a Smith 686+ in 2.5". A large snub, but a snub none the less. Only a few ounces lighter than a full-size all -steel 1911, but it feels great in the hand, it's really accurate, and 357 has a great track record of getting the job done.

I picked up a 642 airweight Talo the other day. They had a couple other snubs but did say the Talo I purchased was hard to find. Great little shooter. Pocket carry when I'm out of the Communist Republic of Illinois. Heading to MO this weekend. Will either carry my Shield or FNX 9 with the 642 as a BUG.
