    Favorite type of sights

Just wondering what you guys liked as far as sights go on your EDC weapons. Mine has the contrast sights (make an "i" out of the front dot and rear vertical bar) and i think i like those better than the more traditional 3 dot setup. What other kinds of sight pictures do you guys have experience with and what do you prefer for speedy target acquisition etc?

I have stock sights on my M&P 9c but I removed the white dots off of the rear, so it's just the white front dot. I'm planning to get the XS 24/7 sights in the next few months

Interested in opinions also. Will be in the market for sights soon - thinking either warren tactical or XS big dot. I like the " dotting the i" set up also.

XS Big Dots on my Glock. My 1911 sports adjustable night sights with the rest standard night sights of some type. No contrasting colors though.

Without a doubt in a down and dirty shooting situation the Big Dots would be my choice.

I like the Heinie Straight Eight sights, I'm waiting for the Trijicon HD sights to be available and will be trying those out soon.

Still a fan of the standard 3 dot sights.

I like the iron sights of my Model 10 S&W because they force me to improve my aim with the least amount of help, next to no sights at all. I've improved greatly too since I got it, and I can't shoot as often as I'd like.

Sometimes in life you have to stand your ground. It's a hard lesson to learn and even most adults don't get it, but in the end only I can be responsible for my life. If faced with any type of adversity, only I can overcome it. Waiting for someone else to take responsibility is a long fruitless wait.

I've grown to appreciate 10-8 Performance plain rear U notch and either brass or tritium front. I switched out the sights on my G23 with 10-8's and plan on doing the same on my Colt Combat Elite when I have it re-built into a custom. There is enough light on each side of the front for precision shooting while being very fast to align.

single front dot, dot over dot like straight eights, or dot the i like you mentioned. Human eyes process stacked objects faster then horizontal objects. I am personally not a fan of three dot sights, but I know Im in the minority.
