1911's are clearly the worst offender here
Sig 238 HD had to make a couple of trips back to Sig, pistol got replaced. It was gone so much that two things happened...

And as I couldn't carry that I made due with other guns so that when the gun was replaced I didn't really "need" it any more. :dunno:
Ruger LC9. After less than 100 rounds, the front sight moved significantly to one side of the frame. Ruger replaced it with a newly designed pinned front sight on a new slide, but why did they sell me a brand new gun without fixing a known problem with the sight? It made it that much easier to get rid of and get the new XDs

3 trips to Florida (repair) for extraction issues, and now it's working great.
The downside, for every 1 week it was in my possession it was in the hands of Taurus for 6.... that's a lot of away time, so luckily it wasn't my only carry option.
PF9 is putting up quite a showing here as well.
Bought a Sig P229 (.40) back in '98. What a great carrying/riding sidearm! Loved that gun...... until I brought it to the range for it's intial 'break-in'. Ran perfectly for five to seven rounds, then....... FTF, or failure to return to battery, or stovepipe, double-feed..... just all kinds of problems. What a heartbreaker. (It made two trips to NH and back AND several to SIG authorizied armorers/gunsmiths)
Long story short, after spending dang near what I paid for it to get it fixed (and ya'll know SIG 'likes' their firearms) I traded it for a Ruger P95 (9mm) and a few bucks cash. That Ruger was ugly, big and heavy, but that thing NEVER malfunctioned.... ever. A streamlight added a little later on and that was the perfect HD sidearm.
I have never touched or thought about purchasing another SIG.
