I have not seen or handled one but I do remember reading about its unique loading system. At $995 I can think of a lot of other weapons that would better suit my needs.
Boberg XR9 Patented Feed Mechanism - Extended Version - Boberg Arms
When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk.

I have shot one and know Arne Boberg. I make holsters for his handgun.
Very unique design in a very compact package. With it's short barrel it makes it tough to make holsters for it.

I was really considering buying one, but the price went up too much for me.
I was also concerned about bullet/case separation, due to the violent pull-back feeding mechanism. There have been reports of this, and Boberg now has a list of "approved" ammo.
Basically, I have moved away from the whole concept of the "pocket 9" pistol. If I can fit it, I use a LCR revolver. If not, I use my LCPs.
The XR9s is an innovative design, but I have no more patience for finicky behavior.
