just remember it needs a good break in and to only load it open slide, don't sling shot it right away.

I understand the allure of this gun for the .45 crowd (I have a G30 so spare me) but IMHO there are better choices out there. YMMV.
The Glock is nearly 0.2" more thick than the XDs.. That translates to A LOT more thin. I've held both of them, and I'm not too sure how you think that the Glock 26 is similar in size. To each his own. I'm actually in the market for a Glock 26 gen4 right now

Springfield has a 7 round may available now, I just picked one up last weekend, 8 rounds of 230gr speer gold dots for my EDC load out with 2 five Rounders in my pocket.

Gratz on the new purchase and welcome to the skinny .45 club

Ditto. I have a Glock30 and the XDs seems ittty bitty next to it. It's about as thin as a Walther PPS the Kate Moss of conceal pistols.

I would like to see this design in other calibers like the .357SIG, I'll wait to check the 9mm version when it comes out.

I've been carrying mine for a couple of months now. Can't wait for the Pearce extension to hit the market!
It's all part of the big picture.
