First time out with new Springfield XD40 Sub-Compact

Finally made a decision on my first carry gun and bought it Friday night. Made it to the range Sunday. Put 100 rounds of Federal 180 grain FMJ through it with no hiccups (well, I let my wife put most of them through, since I want her to be comfortable shooting it). Very happy with the performance and accuracy so far.

5 rounds at 7 yards from the bench. Took my time. 2" grouping (Ignore the stray round. I reused the target since my better half only put 1 round on it )

10 rounds at 25 yards from the bench. Shooting approximately 1 round per second (my range time was up). Put 7 of 10 on the 9" "target" (also known as a paper plate).

Congrats. Have one of these also. I love the trigger, love the grip, it's just the thing is so dang heavy, and I believe thicker than the G26. I'd rather carry the Glock 26.

that's some mighty fine shooting for a compact at that range in that amount of time. glad you are having such a good time with the XDSC, I prefer the XDM to the XD but they are all fine weapons.

It is hard to argue with good results. I always come back to my XD40sc for the same reason. I just shoot it better than anything else.
