However with full custom 1911s, if you have to ask how much you may want to "step down" to an Ed Brown.

This build was a little/lot less than some of the special projects you see on his site. I could have chosen to have the $5k tag on it, but this is what I was after with this one. Down the road additional work can be done on this one.

OK, it's a very nice looking gun, but not breathingly beautiful. But, holy crap, the ACCURACY!!. Those are 50yd targets!!!

To address your purpose in posting this, I do realize I could have spent $529 for that same pistol or even less on a different model. Reason why I didn't? This is what I wanted. Of course, there are numerous other reasons that I don't need to justify, but getting what I wanted is the only one that really matters.
