    Trigger pull- XD 45 ACP

This is to all XD owners and anyone that knows about them. I own an XD-9 and an XD-45 ACP. The 9 shoots fine to me. The 45 seems like the trigger pull is really long and you have to use alot of pressure. Tell me your opinions. Thanks in advance.

    break it in

Dry fire it a lot and shoot it about 300 rounds or so. If it doesn't smooth up, take it to a gunsmith who kows a bit about it and get a trigger job done. Make sure you specify if it's for target use or CCW. should run anywhere from $20 to $40.

I also own both an XD-9 and an XD-45 and just checked. The trigger pull on them are about the same. Not too long and smooth. You might want to have your XD-45 checked out by a gunsmith or call Springfield.

I'm going to back up Sonic on this as well.

I have both the XD9SubCompact and the XD45/4", and I can't tell the difference between the two with regard to trigger pull.

By the way you describe your .45, it sounds to me like it needs a trip back to Springfield.

I am going to shoot it some more and see if that works. I think it will.

    Mine Too

My XD Tactical trigger was considerably heavier than my XD9SC -- something over 6 pounds. Trip to the gunsmith solved that.
