Looking to buy a single stack 9mm. Which one should I get?

I just finished starting my CM9 break in period. My other 9mm carry is an XD9sc. IMO the CM9 has less felt/perceived recoil shooting the same ammo than my XD. No problems getting the same grouping from the same distance and for me follow up shots were much easier and better placed. Assuming the CM9 doesnt have any hiccups for the next 300 rounds or so, it will replace the XD for carry. Its light, small and while the trigger has a long pull, its smooth and predictable. I am able to pull the trigger and stop right before it breaks, then its like shooting a revolver in SA.

You could do much worse than the PPS.

I'll also throw in a vote for Kahr.

I think the Sig P938 is great for pocket carry. I have no issues with mine. If you get it, get a 7 round mag...it changes the whole feel of the gun for me.

I like my Walther PPS too but the Sig P938 is the new guy so you know how that goes.

Take a look at the Bersa bp9cc. Ive seen prices at about $399 to about $425 give or take a few bucks. Ive also have heard good reviews on this pistol. Im looking into one. I currently have the thunder 380 and its a great little gun.

PPS. Mine is super accurate, and has had zero jams or failures after hundreds of rounds of various ammo.

Out of the choices you listed I would suggest the Walther PPS as it has a Glock-like feel for the trigger, etc. that you are already used to. However the magazine release will have to get used to. God Bless :smile:

Well, in that case, have at it. You just need to decide what you like. DAO? SA? External thumb safety? or not? Are you going to want the option to pocket carry the gun? Or is this strictly going to be IWB? Traditional mag release button? Or are you willing to learn the euro-mag release on the PPS? How about the ability to shoot +P ammo?

Some suggested the Beretta Nano. That lacks an external slide release, which can make clearing certain malfunctions more problematic. Does that matter to you?

Without answers to those questions, you are asking us all to shoot in the dark. Your choices are all over the place. Any of them would work, depending on your criteria.

For me...no thumb safety. Traditional mag release. Ability to fire +P ammo. Needs to fit in a pocket. Should weigh no more than 20 oz loaded - less preferably. I tried the Kahr PM9...three times. Too many issues. Net result - Ruger LCR .38 revolver. :lol:

If you can stand the wait (or find one cheaper) - Shield.
If you can't wait - CM9.

No question about it.

Before I went to revolvers only for carry, I owned a Kahr MK9 and PM9. Both were awesome handguns and I can say absolutely nothing bad about either of them. Either a Kahr or even the Beretta nano would not be bad choices. Best to you sir.

Kahr cm9.

Kahr P9 or the econo-version, CW9. 7+1 capacity plus a long enough grip to avoid having to curl the pinky under the base of the mag. Flat and light, carries and conceals easily.
