Finally, a good pic of my Dan's

One recent morning I walked by the living room couch under the open curtains, the light seemed just about perfect. I'm terrible at picture taking so I was both surprised and pleased when this one came out and just wanted to post it to share. I think my next holster purchase is going to be something similar to a Don Hume 721 so I can carry the bottom one more conveniently for CC. It will most likely need to be a custom job because of the weight of Ol' Dan (32oz empty with the 2 inch barrel). Feel free to recommend a holster maker.

Brady, I'm a Dan 15-2 guy myself. 4 barrels an a buckle to boot. If you get some holster tips, please share. And I've got a buddy with a 14.....2 I believe. Pork chop deal. Nickel with a 2 1/2" barrel and he needs a holster as well. He bought it last month, NIB, 1972. Wow. Thanks.

Very nice! I have a DW 715, and I love it. I take it to the range pretty frequently simply because it's so fun to shoot.

I can tell you a 'K' frame holster will NOT work. The Dan is too big. I have a couple "L" frame size (S&W 686) police duty holsters that fit it well. I'm thinking I want to go with a custom holster maker for CC to get heavier leather due to the weight of this gun. With that hanging on my A&G belt, I should be good to go!

OH poor you! What a horrible problem: I have these beautiful pistols and no holster poor me!

I am jealous so this is all in respected envy/sarcasm! I have nothing to offer as I do not have such a fine collection...yet. Best of luck and beautiful revolvers.

Yep, the 2 1/2" on that Model 15 his one heck of a hunk of snubbie. Hmmmm, I like that. A hunk a hunk a snubbie. 3" horse hide suspenders may be required.

Great pic. Don hume has some great holsters and really good prices. Dont know if they will have one that will work for your gun. But thats what I use most of the time. Good luck with your holster quest and stay safe.

Good looking guns. Was always intrigued by the DW inter-changeable barrel concept, but never had a chance to pick one up.

Got yourself two beautiful pistols! Might want to look around at forum members for the custom holster. I remember seeing a thread a couple days ago a guy made a holster for his DE .50 and it looked nice!

Ahh , love to see a pair of DW's lay'n in the sun like that. I now have a pair of 15-2's with 4, 6 and 8" barrels in 357. A 4" .22lr and large frame 6 to 8" barrels in 44mag. Great revolvers .
