My spurs that much of a tell?

Paul Howe owner of CSAT carried a Glock 32(357 SIG)......and could make it sing!
The last firearms instructor(s) I dealt with carried a S&W .38 (Model 10?), as was the issue and qualification handgun of the day in the Air Force. Certainly not an ideal "combat" handgun in today's world, but as beat up and used as they were, they would sure put holes where you needed.
My CCDW instructor pocket carried a Charter Arms .38. My other instructors have carried glocks, 1911's, and different wheelies. Now that I'm an instructor I carry a Glock 23 with a storm lake .357sig barrel or my Sig 1911 XO
My instructors carry an XD45 and an XD9SC.

I know two instructors. One carries a Glock, the other an M&P. If you ask them why, they are more than happy to explain their preference to you.
I am an instructor and I carry a 1911 Commander (Pachmayr Combat Special). At work I use whatever my students use. This is easy to do as I work for DOD or DOS (depending on who is paying more at the time). I have used and demonstrated with Sigs, Berettas, and Glocks. They are all good. But, while on my time I carry my 1911.
Some Glocks (22, 23, 30, 19), Sig 226's and 229's, Springfield XDm's, Smith and Wesson M&P 40's, even a Browning Hi Power.
I am an Instructor and I carry Glocks.
I remember a magazine (what we had prior to gun forums) a few years ago that had an article about gun writers and instructors and what they carry. While most said they carry what they are teaching for familiarity or reviewing at the time. Almost all mentioned a well worn j frame at some point but all seem to have their favorites. This article was written a few years before the outbreak of the small 9mm and 380 craze I wonder if the article was written today if much would change. Most of the instructors I am familiar with carry a glock 19.
The instructors and owners of the training facility closest to me all carry Sigs. The next closest place is the Sig Sauer Academy and most of the instructors I know there carry Sigs (go figure) or Springfields.
