I agree with philious monk - which is why IF I carry a gun, it is always a derringer. Facing charges is something I don't ever want to have to deal with.
But seriously - this thread doesn't need to be revived....does it? Really?
It was sarcasm friend! Relax....
I always carry a gun, and it is never a derringer, too.
This is the classic caliber war thread, there are plenty of them in the "archives" that philiousmonk could have found with a search that he could have brought back to life with his random first post. It's a self licking ice cream cone of non-stop debate that leads nowhere. There is even a specific "rule" about threads like this - they are a waste of internet. Just my opinion. The only reason I posted was because I like sarcasm, and thought his post was ridiculous and worthy of mimicking.
I carry a .45, because shooting more than once is just stupid.
Gun Control: The theory that a woman found raped and dead in an alley, strangled with her own pantyhose, is somehow morally superior to a woman explaining to police how her attacker took two to the chest.
Thanks for the kind words Austin...guess the laws are a little different in urban areas.
I'd go with the cheaper of the two calibers and the gun that was manufactured right here in the USA.

Go get a Sig P226 40 S&W.
With the extended mag you get 15 rounds of 40 S&W.
Ten Bears: It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men.
I usually prefer capacity. But, when the capacity difference is only two rounds, then I think its purely a choice in which gun you like better. If a decision can't be made to which one you like better then the all out sacrifice must be made, buy both.
