In Ohio unless it is in writing you are allowed to carry in church you are on a very slippery legal slope if you do. We aren't allowed to carry in church here unless it is expressly stated and that better be in writing. Someone can tell you one thing and then if something happens say they didn't say it.

I would purse carry the same gun I carry everywhere else.
Slippery slope? More like a class three felony. Obtaining that permission from my congregation involves having a conversation that will never happen. I do agree on what the question should be.

Isn't it ironic, with Jews having suffered horrendous levels of persecution throughout the ages, that the post-Holocaust cries of "we shall never forget" seem to be lost among those who deny the carriage of arms in their temples.

If by church you mean taking my daughter out in the boat... then I had on shorts, flip flops, and a 642 in my pocket.

I am wearing a suit with a glock30sf in a crossbreed holster. I also am the pastor. Kentucky is a great state for guns.

My right to carry there was denied by the State of Ohio, not by my fellow congregants. Many of them know that I am a firearms aficionado, but none, aside from my wife know that I edc. I keep it that way. Whether or not the temple board would grant permission if asked is moot, since I will not ask.

I wore Carhartt pants and a Rhodesian Army t-shirt - not trying to impress anybody. I also wore my Glock 21 SF.

If you died today and stood in front of God and He asked you " Why should I let you into My Heaven?" what would you say?

I do agree. There are many who say well the preacher said I could and they think that is good enough. One has to worry about permission by mouth.

A suit offers so many ways to cover a gun and with everyone dressed the same you wont even look odd. I pocket carry so no worry's about huggers. Church carry always brings out a lot of response. It shouldn't tho. DR

Usually the same as any other day: Shield 9 or Bodyguard 380 in a Remora worn IWB. I wear a blazer for cover. When the huggers approach, I keep my elbows at my sides to prevent too much touchy-feely.

Just curious: Are your church premises conspicuously posted per the required signage? If not posted, then I think you are permitted to carry in a place of worship.

It's a fair question and the answer is an emphatic YES! (Do we have fire extinguishers in churches?) Why should we be denied the right to self-defense anywhere?
