    Which to choose?

    The ruger sr556c or s&w m&p 15ft? both are Mass. complaint versions.

    That easy you me . M&P -

    Thats my M&P sport with a free float tube , small gas block and I do have the mount for the front sight and front sight. 600 dollar rifle the same barrel at good lgs. RRA tube, scope mount and block. they also make a complaint version of the sport

    Easy choice, the M&P. The Ruger isn't $850. more of a gun.

    I believe that the Ruger is a piston gun, hence the cost.

    The SR556 *is* a piston gun. These two rifles are red apples to golden apples. Not entirely different, but still very distinctive.
